Jason Hutson (of Fight Song Poetry) is a Southern California-based spoken word artist who crafts poetry and scripts for graphic novels and short films. Jason uses his voice to present the struggles of escaping both mental and physical confines and has made his mark on the local arts scene. He has performed at Riverside's Battle of the Poets Poetry Slam, OTL (On The List), and numerous venues across the Greater Los Angeles and San Bernardino areas. His work has been featured in on the World Poetry Podcast, and his piece "And Singers and Prophets" was recorded and performed with the band Cel Damage, currently streaming on Spotify. He draws inspiration from iconic figures like Superman and Spider-Man, the emotional depth of bands like Bayside and The Ataris, and the intensity of hardcore music. As a believer in the healing power of art, he welcomes conversations about any kind of artistic expression, building connections that can uplift and transform.
